Moondance looks and acts like a male version of his lovely mother, Holly. Both were absolutely in charge without having to enforce the position. At a young age he became my heart hound. He loved everything about dog shows except the actual showing, but he was willing to do the job.
As a yearling, Moondance earned the last 12 points for his Champion title in 7 shows, placing no less than Reserve. In his first outing as a special in 2010, Moondance won Best of Breed under breeder-judge Shirley McFadden. He then quickly gained the requirements for his Grand Champion title, capping it off with back to back Best of Breed wins and his first group placement. Though never campaigned, he went on to multiple group placements and specialty Awards of Merit.
This dog was my soul for over 11 years. Though I'll never be "footed" or see him fluff the couch again, he will always be with me. My son, we will meet again. |
